Palm cooling

YOUR LAST EFFORT, CLOSER TO YOUR FIRST.

Heat cuts your output before you feel it.

KYLA is a pair of handles that take heat out through your palms, in the rests you already take.

  • Chill in the fridge
  • Hold 60 to 90 seconds
  • Go again
First Run ships 10 November 2026Train with it for 90 days. Full refund if it's not for you.Designed in Sweden. Made in Germany.Three-year warranty€295,00 for the pair · €29,50 today secures yours, fully refundable

The warmer you get, the less muscle your brain lets you use.*

  1. 1Your core heats up
  2. 2Your brain cuts your output to protect you
  3. 3Only after the cut do you start to feel tired

The heat comes from the work, not from the room. The room only decides how easily you lose it.

MORE HEAT OUT. EVERY REST.

Your palms are where your body is built to let heat out. KYLA gives that heat somewhere to go, so you finish the session you planned instead of the one heat allows.

CrossFit

"If you know me as an athlete, you know heat is not my best friend, but KYLA is."

"KYLA has become a really valuable tool, helping me cool down before, between and after efforts, manage the heat better, and feel more prepared to perform at my best."

CrossFit Games Athlete

Matilde Garnes

HYROX

"Using KYLA, I've noticed several significant positive changes in my training. Better repeatability between intervals, more stable output, and faster recovery between hard efforts."

CrossFit

"KYLA has become one of my most used training tools to recover within sessions and bring more intent to what I'm doing."

Running

"I ran quicker than usual with measurably lower lactate. Heart rate was the same. The feeling was different, like the same work cost less. I do this session three times a week, so I trust the comparison."

When you use it

It uses the rest you already take.

Effort, then KYLA, then effort. Pull heat out whenever your hands are free.

One in each palm, 60 to 90 seconds

KYLA: one in each palm, 60 to 90 seconds.

WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS

You touch 55 cm².
The heat meets 557 cm².

A SOLID COLD OBJECT

55 cm²

KYLA

557 cm²
Drawn to scale. Ten copies of the square your palm covers.

10× CONTACT

Inside each handle, a patent-pending internal system spreads the heat from your palm across ten times more cold surface than your palm touches. More contact, more heat out, every rest.

How heat transfer works →

Inside your palm

  1. You are cool

The heat vessels stay shut. Heat stays in.

  2. You are warm

The heat vessels (AVA) open, a shortcut from artery to vein, and the heat wants out. Air carries it away slowly.

  3. Warm, holding something that conducts heat

It pulls the heat out fast. Colder is not better. More contact is.

THE SCIENCE

PALM COOLING HAS BEEN STUDIED FOR TWENTY YEARS. NOT BY US.

Your palms have heat vessels (AVA*): shortcuts between artery and vein that feed no tissue and open when you heat up, to let heat out. KYLA is engineered around that pathway. We did not invent it.

*Arteriovenous anastomoses. How they work: Walløe, 2015. Temperature.

The studies are small and some found no effect. They are all in Published research, with the numbers.

Frequently asked questions

Is this just holding something cold? No. Cold you can feel is not heat leaving you.

A cold object meets your palm only where you touch it, and that thin layer warms in seconds, so the cold behind it never reaches you. KYLA spreads the same heat across ten times more cold surface than your palm touches, so it keeps leaving instead of stalling. Temperature matters too, which is why the surface sits around 14 °C, the zone where the vessels in your palm stay open. But the goal is not maximum cold. It is maximum heat transfer.

I am not hot when I train. I am just tired.Heat costs you before it feels hot.

Both, and they are harder to separate than they feel. Long before you notice temperature, your body sends blood to the skin to shed heat, and that is capacity no longer going to the working muscle. What you feel is fatigue. Part of what caused it is thermal. Nobody walks out of a session thinking the room was warm. They think they slept badly.

Who is KYLA Performance for?If your session has hard efforts with rests between them, it is for you.

If it does not, keep reading.

The sport does not decide it. The shape of the session does. If you work hard, stop, and work hard again, there is heat to move and a rest to move it in.

If your session runs without a break, there is less for it to do while you train. Two things still work. Hold it before you start, so you begin cooler. Hold it in any break you do get, however few there are. If you never have a hand free during a session, this is not for you, and we would rather say that than sell you a pair.

Who is it not for?If you never have a hand free during a session, this is not for you, and we would rather say that than sell you a pair.

It does little for easy sessions, where little heat builds, so there is little to take out. It does not work in sessions where your hands are never free, and it does not replace training, water or sleep.
