About KYLA

KYLA is a Swedish performance brand that makes palm-cooling tools used between efforts in training. The first product, KYLA Performance, is a pair of cooling handles held during rest periods. They pull heat out of the body through the palms in the rest between efforts, so the sets, intervals and rounds that heat usually takes are the ones you get back. What sets it apart is not how cold it is. It is the construction: an internal heat transfer system that moves heat out of the palm at a high rate and keeps doing so for the whole rest. Designed in Sweden. Made in Germany.

The palm is one of the body's most efficient heat-release zones, and cooling it during rest is an established idea in sport science. The effect sizes are still debated, and we say so openly. The published research we lean on, with the actual results from each study, is collected on our studies page. Our own measurements are first-party and early, published with their limitations, and an independent university study is underway.

The short version

• Founded in Stockholm by Claes Mårtén.
• One product, sold as pairs: one handle for each palm. No batteries, no screens, nothing to subscribe to.
• Built around the rate of heat transfer, not around cold. The surface sits near 14 degrees Celsius, the window where the palm gives up heat fastest. Colder makes the vessels constrict and slows it down. Not an ice pack, not cold therapy.
• Built so the whole cooling core works at once. A patent-pending internal system keeps the surface at 14 °C grip after grip, instead of fading like a cold object does.
• Fifty professional athletes trained with it before launch. The Founders Edition, 100 pairs, shipped to them in September 2026.
• The First Run ships in October 2026 to the EU and Norway.
