KYLA Performance™

Price2.795,00 kr

One pair of cooling handles, held between efforts. One for each palm. No batteries, no refills, nothing to subscribe to. You buy it once and own it for years.

When heat builds, your output drops before your muscles do. KYLA pulls that heat out in the rest between efforts, so you hold your output longer, effort after effort.

  • RECOVERY Deeper heart-rate recovery between efforts.
  • FATIGUE Lower blood lactate at matched pace.
  • OUTPUT Output held across repeated efforts.

The numbers, and how we got them

Where these numbers come from

Recovery

Up to 50%

deeper heart rate recovery between efforts

Measured from heart-rate data athletes recorded in their own training, comparing the same sessions with and without KYLA at the same pace and workload.

Fatigue

Up to 25%

lower blood lactate at matched pace

An early signal, not a finished result. Recorded by one athlete sampling his own blood lactate at a matched pace. A single data point we are now testing at scale.

Output

5 to 12%

higher output across repeated efforts

An estimate, not a direct measurement. Based on the recovery athletes recorded and the established link between thermal recovery and work capacity. The study with Umeå University will test it directly.

These are measured ranges, not guarantees. What you get depends on you.

How KYLA compares

Most cooling methods cool your skin. Only a few cool your core.

Modelled core heat removed over a 60-minute training session, each method shown the way it is actually used.

Cooling method Core heat removed vs KYLA
KYLA Performance Palm contact, 14 °C surface, 60 s per cycle ~54 kJ 100%
Cooling vest PCM 15 to 20 °C, worn continuously ~35 kJ 65%
Ice bag in the palm Right surface, wrong temperature, shuts AVAs ~9 kJ 17%
Ice bag on the neck Feels cold, moves little heat ~4 kJ 7%

Minute for minute

How long other methods need to match the core heat KYLA moves in one minute, at equal contact time. Lower is better.

  • KYLA 1 min
  • Cooling vest ~6 min
  • Ice bag in the palm ~6 min
  • Ice bag on the neck ~13 min

At equal contact time.

Modelled from first-principles thermodynamics over a 60-minute session, fifteen cycles of three minutes work and one minute cooling, at 25 °C ambient. Each method is shown as it is actually used, so contact times differ by design. ±25% uncertainty band.

01 / HOW IT'S USED

USED BETWEEN EFFORTS.

KYLA fits inside training, not after it. Between sets, between intervals, between rounds.

01

Finish your effort.

A set, an interval, a round.

02

Hold KYLA in your palms through the rest.

No screen, no batteries. You chill it, then you hold it.

03

Start your next effort cooler.

Then do it again.

It does not add a step to your training. It uses one you already take. The tool does not replace the work. It lets more of the work count.

WHO IT'S FOR

Where it fits in your training.

Chill it before the session. In the roxzone between stations, and between metcon rounds, hold one in each palm for the minute you already rest. Race day and training day work the same way.

Between sets, where you would normally scroll or pace: one unit in each palm for 60 to 90 seconds. Put them down, lift. The late sets stay closer to the first. Cim Johansson, Sweden's Strongest Man, trains this way.

Interval and threshold days: hold it through each recovery jog or standing rest. On longer efforts, use the natural breaks. The same pace should cost less late in the session.

Points are too short to cool. Changeovers are not. Hold it between games and at side changes, and start the next game cooler. Simon Vasquez, Swedish national padel player, does exactly this.

Mostly pre-cooling. Palms on the units in the minutes before the start, then again between stints while the car is worked on. Marcus Ericsson, Indy 500 champion, and Dino Beganovic, Ferrari Academy driver, use it this way.

Shifts, substitutions, halftime. Hold one in each palm on the bench and start the next shift cooler. Built for the stop-start rhythm of hockey, football, and handball.

Heat doesn't care what level you're at. If your training has hard efforts and short rests, KYLA fits inside it.

02 / THE RESEARCH

WHAT THE SCIENCE SHOWS.

Independent research from sports science institutions. Studies behind the mechanism KYLA is built around.

Research graph showing lower perceived exertion and reduced RPE with palm cooling during interval training with text from the University of Sydney.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about KYLA Performance. For more, see the full FAQ.

What is the Founders Edition?

The Founders Edition is 100 pairs, built first and sent to hand-picked athletes. It is not for sale. Reservations are for the First Run, which ships September 2026, and first access goes to the list.

How do I prepare it before training?

Place KYLA Performance in the refrigerator the night before, or a minimum of three hours before use. The freezer is not needed and is not recommended. Once pre-cooled, a unit stays effective for 7+ hours in the dust bag.

How long does a single pre-cool last during a session?

A fully pre-cooled unit delivers 35 to 40 minutes of effective heat extraction during active use, depending on training intensity. Across a two-hour session, that works out to roughly twenty minutes of use per hour, typically enough to cover the rest periods between efforts.

How long does it stay cold between sessions?

Kept in its dust bag, 7+ hours at room temperature, not in active use. That is the window between leaving home and starting training. For longer windows, refrigerate on site if possible.

Can I use ice packs instead?

No. Holding something very cold causes blood vessels in your palms to constrict, which reduces blood flow to the surface and slows heat release. KYLA Performance is engineered to hold a temperature between 13 and 15°C, cold enough to extract heat continuously, warm enough to keep blood flowing. The goal is not maximum cold. It is maximum heat transfer.

Can everyone use KYLA Performance?

KYLA Performance works with the body's natural heat release system. Most people can use it without any issues. If you have a condition that affects circulation or sensitivity in your hands, check with a healthcare professional before use. Avoid use on injured, numb, or broken skin.

Can I cancel my pre-order?

Yes, anytime before shipment, for a full refund. No questions, no fees. After delivery, you have a 30-day money-back guarantee. You are notified directly if anything changes about the timeline.

When will my order ship?

Your reservation is for the First Run, shipping September 2026. We confirm the shipping window with reservation holders before anyone else. You'll receive a tracking link as soon as your order ships.
