Athlete using KYLA palm cooling device between training efforts to regulate temperature and maintain output

YOUR LAST EFFORT, CLOSER TO YOUR FIRST.

Set one felt easy. Set four doesn't. That's heat, not fitness. KYLA pulls it out through your palms while you rest.

COOL THE PALMS BETWEEN EFFORTS. HOLD YOUR OUTPUT.

RECOVERY

Deeper heart-rate recovery between efforts

Measured across our testing pool of 50 athletes. Pelayo is one of them.

Jeppe Risvig

Running·1500m in 3:41 & 10k in 29:30

"I ran quicker than usual with measurably lower lactate. Heart rate was the same. The feeling was different, like the same work cost less. I do this session three times a week, so I trust the comparison."

IN YOUR TRAINING

Which one is you?

Chill it before the session. In the roxzone between stations, and between metcon rounds, hold one in each palm for the minute you already rest. Race day and training day work the same way.

Between sets, where you would normally scroll or pace: one unit in each palm for 60 to 90 seconds. Put them down, lift. The late sets stay closer to the first. Cim Johansson, Sweden's Strongest Man, trains this way.

Interval and threshold days: hold it through each recovery jog or standing rest. On longer efforts, use the natural breaks. The same pace should cost less late in the session.

Points are too short to cool. Changeovers are not. Hold it between games and at side changes, and start the next game cooler. Simon Vasquez, Swedish national padel player, does exactly this.

Mostly pre-cooling. Palms on the units in the minutes before the start, then again between stints while the car is worked on. Marcus Ericsson, Indy 500 champion, and Dino Beganovic, Ferrari Academy driver, use it this way.

Shifts, substitutions, halftime. Hold one in each palm on the bench and start the next shift cooler. Built for the stop-start rhythm of hockey, football, and handball.

02 / THE MECHANISM

OUTPUT DROPS BEFORE YOU DO.

Across repeated efforts your core heats up, and your body starts spending capacity on cooling instead of output. That is the fade you feel. KYLA pulls heat out in the rest between efforts, so the next effort starts closer to full.

Heart rate recovery degrades across an unaided session. KYLA holds it consistent. View methodology

The science behind it

03 / THE DIFFERENCE

COLDER IS NOT BETTER.

Cold you can feel is not the same as heat leaving your body. Below 14°C the palm closes its vessels. Ice numbs the skin but moves less heat from the core, and it loses its cold fast. KYLA holds the temperature that keeps pulling heat for the whole rest.

04 / THE SCIENCE

BUILT ON PUBLISHED RESEARCH.

Your palms release heat several times faster than almost any other surface of the body. That pathway is documented in decades of thermoregulation research, and it is the pathway KYLA is engineered around. We did not invent the science. We built the tool that uses it between efforts.

  • BASED ON ESTABLISHED THERMOREGULATION RESEARCH
  • DESIGNED AROUND THE BODY'S NATURAL HEAT MANAGEMENT
  • SUPPORTED BY PUBLISHED SPORTS SCIENCE

FROM THE JOURNAL

WHY PERFORMANCE DROPS BEFORE YOU FEEL TIRED.

Output drops before you do, and this is the full story of why. What decides how fast you fade, and what to do about it. Five minutes, worth it.

05 / THE MOMENT

BETWEEN SETS. BETWEEN INTERVALS. BETWEEN ROUNDS.

The space where heat builds, output starts to drop, and the next effort is being shaped before it begins.

Most athletes treat this moment as waiting. KYLA treats it as work.

06 / THE TOOL

ENGINEERED FOR THE TIME BETWEEN EFFORTS.

  • One chill in the fridge keeps it cold for 7+ hours in its pouch.
  • NO BATTERIES, NO ELECTRONICS.
  • Used between sets, intervals, and rounds. Capacity for a full 90-minute session.

07 / THE BUILD

ALMOST NOTHING INSIDE EXISTED BEFORE.

More than forty complete builds. Fifteen factories tested for parts most people will never see. Every build taught us where heat escapes and where parts fail. This is the version that holds.

Almost every component is bespoke, from the metals and polymers to the phase-change materials at the core, most used in ways nobody had tried before. Designed in Sweden. Made in Germany.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about KYLA Performance. For more, see the full FAQ.

What if it doesn't work for me?

The 30 days start when it arrives, not when you order. Use it in real sessions, between your hardest efforts. If it does not hold your output, email us and we refund you in full, deposit included.

How does KYLA Performance actually work?

During training, heat builds in your working muscles and core. As internal temperature rises, your body shifts capacity from output to heat management, and performance starts to drop before you feel it.

KYLA Performance is used during rest periods between efforts. Held in the palm, it draws heat out of the body through the palms, which contain a dense network of specialised vessels designed specifically for releasing heat. Core temperature stays steadier across the session. Output holds longer across repeated efforts.

Who is KYLA Performance for?

Athletes who train with repeated high-intensity efforts. HYROX, strength training, intervals, functional fitness, running, cycling, rowing. Anywhere heat builds across a session and rest periods exist between efforts. The harder the session, the more measurable the effect.

How do I use it during training?

Pre-cool KYLA Performance in your refrigerator overnight, or for a minimum of three hours before training. Bring it to the gym in the dust bag. Hold one in each palm between efforts: between sets, between intervals, between rounds. Most athletes feel an effect within thirty seconds.

Is this just holding something cold?

No. Heat transfer depends on the conductivity of the material in contact with your skin, not temperature alone. KYLA Performance is engineered for high heat transfer rate, holding a temperature between 13 and 15°C, the zone where heat extraction is most efficient. The goal is not maximum cold. It is maximum heat transfer.

When will my order ship?

The First Run ships September 2026 to the EU and Norway. The Founders Edition, 100 pairs, goes to hand-picked athletes first and is not for sale. Cancel anytime before shipment for a full refund, deposit included.

What is the warranty?

KYLA Performance is covered by a two-year warranty against manufacturing faults. If something stops working as it should, contact support and we will replace it.
